Each year Scouting collaborates with several neighboring councils, program partners, sponsors and thousands of volunteers to bring together spectacular community events. The events include outdoor and family friendly activities as well as service projects. These events are open to the public and allow great insight into the fun and the impact of Scouting.

Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner

Recognition Dinner for Scouts who earned their Eagle Rank in 2014.   Featuring Special Guest Speaker Eric Evans, Director of MIT Lincoln Labs.  January 6th, 2015.

Klondike Derby

Come join us for the Flintlock Districts and Sons of Liberty Polar Bear Challenge, Klondike Derby and Campout, January 17 – 18, 2015.  Patrols will compete against each other in a series of events that test Scouting skills, teamwork and spirit.  Come prepared to run your Klondike sleds through the snow from station to station and for camping in tents, testing your winter skills.

Venturing Klondike Derby

All Venturing Crews are invited to attend.  Scouts over the age of 13 are invited to attend, but their unit must attend one of the Boy Scout Klondike Derbies.  This year’s activities promise to be bigger and better than last year.  The highlight event will be ice climbing!  Camp Sayre is the only place in the greater Boston area that allows you to go ice climbing.  Our trained ice climbing guides will teach you how to go ice climbing in a safe and controled environment.
